Self Portrait

comments

This is a dot matrix black and whilte print of an incomplete self portrait. I used a program called SuperPaint on a Macintosh SE. The computer I used was one of seven named after the Seven Dwarfs - hense the name of the illustration. I added colored pencil to the print. Looking back at it now, it's very telling of the times - the computers were evolving into a useful tool for us artists, yet in the end enhancement by a traditional medium was necessary to make the piece successful because technology just wasn't there yet. I am so glad those days are gone.
